Search efforts continue on June 13, 2019, for a boater missing since 6/09/19 at Lake Isabella.
The search continued for the fifth day in the area around the French Gulch Recreational Area.
On June 9, 2019, at about 4:35pm, Kern County Sheriff's Deputies from the Kern Valley Substation responded for a report of a missing boater.
Deputies learned a 36-year-old Los Angeles man had jumped from his boat to swim to shore, and had not surfaced in the area of the French Gulch Marina at Lake Isabella.
Deputies, along with the Lake Patrol conducted an extensive search, as well as several Search and Rescue teams.
On Thursday, Kern Valley Search and Rescue as well as the Tulare County Sheriff’s Dive Team and Boating Unit are assisting in the search.
