The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina, including the following areas, in southeast Georgia, Bulloch, Candler, Coastal Bryan, Coastal Chatham, Coastal Liberty, Coastal McIntosh, Effingham, Evans, Inland Bryan, Inland Chatham, Inland Liberty, Inland McIntosh, Jenkins, Long, Screven, and Tattnall. In southeast South Carolina, Allendale, Beaufort, Charleston, Coastal Colleton, Coastal Jasper, Dorchester, Hampton, Inland Berkeley, Inland Colleton, Inland Jasper, and Tidal Berkeley.

* Numerous to widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue to impact much of Southeast South Carolina and Southeast Georgia through this evening. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with localized amounts in excess of 5 inches will be possible through 9 PM. The risk for flash flooding continues. The risk will become elevated at the coast as high tide approaches shortly after 5 PM.
