Excessive Heat Warning until 09:00PM

The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued an Excessive Heat Warning, which is in effect until 9 PM PDT this evening. The Heat Advisory is no longer in effect.

* TEMPERATURE...Record or near record heat with widespread high temperatures this afternoon from 95 to 105.

* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST BAY INTERIOR VALLEYS ... SAN FRANCISCO BAY SHORELINE ... SANTA CLARA VALLEY INCLUDING SAN JOSE

Instructions:

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures will occur. Hot temperatures will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of fluids...stay in an air-conditioned room...stay out of the sun...and check up on relatives and neighbors.
