Fire Weather Watch until 07:00PM Tuesday
Clearing skies paired with a tightening northwest gradient will result in strong mixing and gusty winds at the surface Tuesday afternoon and evening. This may lead to critical fire weather conditions for portions of southwest Colorado when combined with low humidities and curing grasses. The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds, low humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area, mainly in the lower elevations.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...11 to 16 percent.
* IMPACTS...Should these conditions develop, rapid rates of fire growth and spread are possible.
