WEST HOLLYWOOD, June 8, 2019 – The City of West Hollywood is hosting the expanded 2019 Christopher Street West LA Pride in West Hollywood Celebration from Friday, June 7, 2019 to Sunday, June 9, 2019 and Pride Weekend is off to an amazing start.

With many thousands of people attending the LA Pride in West Hollywood Festival and Pride on the Boulevard, and anticipated to attend the LA Pride in West Hollywood Parade on Sunday, traffic impacts are significant.

The City of West Hollywood is advising pride-goes to seek alternate transportation options such as walking, ride share services, and public transit. Planned street closures are in effect and additional street closures may go into effect in order to ensure public safety.             LA Pride in West Hollywood organizers have announced that tickets are sold out for Saturday night’s ticketed LA Pride in West Hollywood Festival. Please note two important reminders:

  • Anyone who has purchased wristbands in advance will still be able to pick up wristbands at will call;
  • Anyone who already has wristbands will still be able to enter the festival.
Tickets are available for Sunday’s Festival; details and tickets are available at www.lapride.org. The Festival takes place at West Hollywood Park on Saturday, June 8 from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m., and on Sunday, June 9 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Pride on the Boulevard is open and free and takes place on Santa Monica Boulevard on Saturday, June 8 and on Sunday, June 9 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The LA Pride in West Hollywood Parade is open and free and will take place on Santa Monica Boulevard on Sunday, June 9 beginning at 10:45 a.m.

Current street closures are as follows:
• Santa Monica Boulevard is closed eastbound and westbound between Hancock Avenue and Robertson Boulevard and will reopen on Monday, June 10, 2019 for morning rush hour;

• San Vicente Boulevard is closed between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue and will reopen on Monday, June 10, 2019; and

• Robertson Boulevard is closed between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue and will reopen on Monday June 10, 2019 for morning rush hour.

Sunday street closures, in addition to the above closures, will include as follows:

 • Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed in both directions from Fairfax Avenue to Doheny Drive from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019; as noted above, Santa Monica Boulevard from Hancock Avenue to Robertson Boulevard will remain closed until morning rush hour on Monday, June 10, 2019; and

 • Streets one block north and south of Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed from Fairfax Avenue to Doheny Drive from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019.
