The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of central Georgia... east central Georgia...north central Georgia...northeast Georgia and west central Georgia...including the following areas...in central Georgia...Baldwin...Bibb...Butts... Crawford...Jasper...Jones...Monroe and Putnam. In east central Georgia...Greene...Hancock...Taliaferro...Warren and Wilkes. In north central Georgia...Morgan. In northeast Georgia... Oglethorpe. In west central Georgia...Chattahoochee...Lamar... Marion...Muscogee...Talbot...Taylor and Upson.

* Through Sunday evening

* Between 2 and 5 inches of rainfall has fallen across this area over the past 48 hours, with locally higher amounts. Additional rounds of heavy rainfall can be expected across the area. New rainfall amounts up to 2 to 3 inches could occur in a short period of time producing a potential for flash flooding.
