The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Spalding County in west central Georgia... Central Rockdale County in north central Georgia... Southern Henry County in north central Georgia... Central Newton County in north central Georgia...

* Until 930 PM EDT Saturday.

* At 328 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain coninuing to fall across the warned area. Two to four inches of rain have already fallen with an additional one to two inches possible. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Griffin, McDonough, Conyers, Covington, Hampton, Locust Grove, Porterdale, Orchard Hill, Sunny Side, East Griffin, Lakeview Estates, Blacksville, Ola, Walker Mill, Rover, Luella, Oak Hill, Highland Mills, Towalaga and Magnet.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HENRY, GA ... NEWTON, GA ... SPALDING, GA ... ROCKDALE, GA

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
