..DANGEROUS HEAT CONDITIONS EXPECTED TODAY... .Areas of dense fog continues across portions of the southern Coastal Bend and southern Brush Country early this morning. Visibilities will improve by mid morning. The combination of very hot temperatures and elevated moisture levels near the surface will result in dangerous heat indices across all of South Texas today. Heat indices are expected to become excessively hot across the southern Coastal Bend where the moisture values are expected to be the greatest.
* VISIBILITY...1/4 mile early this morning.
* TEMPERATURE...Heat index values around 115 degrees.
* IMPACTS...Low visibilities will make driving hazardous this morning. Increased risk of heat- related illnesses including Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke this afternoon.

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures will occur. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely. A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down... use low-beam headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
