Dense Fog Advisory until 08:00AM
..DANGEROUS HEAT CONDITIONS EXPECTED TODAY... .Areas of dense fog have developed across the southern Coastal Bend and Brush Country this morning. Visibilities are expected to improve by mid morning. The combination of very hot temperatures and elevated humidity values will result in dangerous heat indices across all of South Texas today. Heat indices are expected to become excessively hot across the southern Coastal Bend where humidity values are highest. The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 8 AM CDT this morning.
* VISIBILITY...1/4 mile this morning.
* TEMPERATURE...Heat index values around 115 degrees.
* IMPACTS...Low visibilities will make driving hazardous this morning. Increased risk of heat- related illnesses including Heat Exhaustion and Heat Stroke this afternoon.
* AFFECTED AREAS: INLAND KLEBERG ... JIM WELLS ... INLAND NUECES
Instructions:
An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures will occur. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of fluids...stay in an air-conditioned room...stay out of the sun... and check up on relatives and neighbors. A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down... use low-beam headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
