DESERT AIRE, Wash. (07JUNE2019) – The Grant County Sheriff’s Motor Traffic Unit is seeking the driver who ran from the scene of a Thursday evening vehicle collision which seriously injured a Mattawa woman.
Responders were called around 7:30 p.m. to Desert Aire Drive at Oasis Place. Investigators determined passenger Mireya Anaya, 22, of Mattawa, was ejected as the 2001 Ford Focus in which she was riding rolled twice after failing to negotiate a corner. A witness saw the driver run toward the nearby mini-mart.
Anaya was transported to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. She was listed in critical condition.
