REMINDER TOWN HALL MEETING TONIGHT!!! FOR SIMONTON RESIDENTS AND ETJ RESIDENTS~ SIMONTON COMMUNITY CHURCH AT 6:30PM IN THE GREAT ROOM. PLEASE PARK IN MAIN PARKING LOT.

Homeowners who have outstanding construction/repair projects or need reimbursement for money spent out of pocket can seek assistance through the Texas General Land Office.

The City of Simonton will be hosting representatives from the GLO at Simonton Community Church June 11th at 6:30pm (City Council Town hall setting)to present an overview and answer any questions about the federally funded programming.

Homeowner Assistance Program-
HAP helps homeowners affected by Hurricane Harvey repair and rebuild their homes. Program activities include:
Repairing and rehabilitating primary residences
Reconstruction
Improving a damaged home so that it is stronger against natural disasters
Elevating homes above flood level, and more.

Homeowner Reimbursement Program-
HRP may reimburse homeowners for up to $50,000 in out-of-pocket expenses to repair their Hurricane Harvey damaged homes. To be eligible for this program, the home must be the owner’s primary residence and eligible repairs must have been completed prior to the application launch date of Feb. 28, 2019. Applications are anticipated to outnumber available funds, so apply quickly!
