SUSPECT: Nicolas Pisano, 26 years old, resident of Redlands
UPDATE:
During the theft investigation, Detectives gathered information that led them to a suspect in the City of Redlands. The suspect, identified as Nicolas Pisano, was believed to be responsible for the theft of a pole camera from the parking lot of a Redlands business. Detectives worked together with Redlands Police and obtained a search warrant for Pisano’s residence. On Thursday, June 6th, Redlands Police Department SWAT, Central Station detectives and Valley Gang Team served the search warrant and recovered the stolen pole camera, rifle, shotgun and ammunition.
Pisano was interviewed and later booked at Central Detention Center for Burglary, Grand Theft, Receiving Known Stolen Property and Vandalism. Bail is set at $100,000.

SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at approximately 7:00 am, a deputy from the Central Patrol Station discovered a marked patrol car was burglarized while parked in the Sheriff’s Department parking lot.
An investigation began immediately, and detectives determined sometime between Monday, May 27th at 7:00 am and Wednesday, May 29th at 7:00 am, an unknown suspect pried open the driver’s door and entered the patrol car. Once inside, the suspect pried the weapons mounting system and removed the rifle, shotgun and ammunition. Crime Scene Investigators processed the car and the surrounding area for forensic evidence.
The Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect(s) involved in this incident.
