On June 4 at approximately 10:45 a.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force observed a vehicle with an equipment violation traveling in the 100 block of South Harrison Street. Police stopped the vehicle, and officers detected an odor of marijuana as they approached the vehicle.

Through the course of their investigation, police learned that the driver, 31-year-old Luther Sellers, was on probation. Administrative searches of the vehicle, as well as Sellers’ residence and another vehicle, were conducted with Probation and Parole officers with the assistance of other members of the task force.
