#024-28 & 30-33 Auto Burglary Reports
CSO’s Gaffney and Goralczyk responded to the Park Sequoia Apartment Complex for a continuation of the previous night’s auto burglary investigation.
#044 Criminal Threats/Brandishing 
Two construction workers began arguing in the 39000 block of Blacow Rd.  One employee brandished a hammer and began following the victim around the worksite.  The 30 year old male suspect was contacted and arrested for criminal threats and brandishing. 
Auto Burglaries
#042, 043 & 047 – 46100 block of Warm Springs Blvd. (Marina Market) - Occurred between 2:15 – 2:20 p.m.  One vehicle had no loss.  A second victim reported 2 Boba milk teas and a diaper bag were taken.  Loss from the third car was a gym bag, school backpack and other clothing items.
#049 & 059 - Foxtail Terrace – Discovered at 5:00 p.m.  Loss from one vehicle was an Apple charger. The second vehicle had no loss.
#049, 059 & 061 Safeway Irvington - Occurred between 9:15 – 9:30 p.m.  Possible suspect vehicle is a gray older model 4-door Lexus.  Suspect described as a woman.
#062 - Fry’s Electronics - Occurred between 8:40 – 8:55 p.m.  Rear passenger window was broken.  Backpack containing a laptop, Bluetooth headphones, cash, wallet, etc. taken.

#003 Stolen Vehicle Pursuit
Officer Hancock and FTO Kennedy located a stolen vehicle that had been broadcasted after driving by a license plate reader camera.  The known female suspect was also wanted for a felony warrant for vehicle theft.  Officer Hancock began following the suspect vehicle n/b I880 @ Alvarado and the suspect immediately fled, leading to a short vehicle pursuit.  The suspect was lost in the area of I880/Tennyson.  Supervised by Sgt. Aranguren and documented in report #003.
#024 Brandishing Arrest
Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 4200 block of Chetwood Ave on the report of a woman brandished a meat clever and threatened two people at the residence.  Officers arrived on scene and detained the female in the front yard.  Officer Montojo arrested a 57 year old for brandishing a weapon.  She was transported to Santa Rita.
#027 Auto Burglary Arrest
At 9:47 p.m. reporting party called Dispatch stating he just saw an unknown suspect rummaging through a family members car at the Waterside Apartments. Officer Gonzales and Floresca quickly arrive in the area and locate a 44 year old man walking away from the victim vehicle. The man is in possession of some property from the victim vehicle as well as burglary tools. He also has a warrant for a stolen vehicle and is ultimately booked for several charges. Investigated by Officer Gonzales.
#001 Burglary Arrest
The owner of PK Market calls 911 after seeing a suspect break into his business via security camera. The suspect flees prior to police arrival but Officer Latimer locates him several blocks away. The 48 year old man had blood and broken glass covering his hands, and was in possession of two bottles of stolen alcohol. The man was medically cleared and booked at Santa Rita Jail for burglary. Case investigated by Officer Latimer.

#008 – Stolen Vehicle
A white 2006 Ford box truck (CA  lic. 61769B2) was stolen at 1:55 a.m., per video surveillance footage from an address in the 42400 block of Osgood Rd.  The suspect is an unknown race male, 5'-9" with a slim build.  Suspect vehicle is a dark colored SUV.  Investigation conducted by CSO Anders.
#014 – Stolen Vehicle
A black 2009 Audi A4 (CA lic. 6JZM140) was taken sometime during the night from the 45400 block of Research Ave.  Keys were stolen from a property lock box.  No suspect info.  Investigation conducted by Officer Catassi.
#015 Auto Burglary
An auto burglary occurred sometime during the night in the 3600 block of Oxford Common.  Loss was a MacBook, Sony PlayStation, and clothes. No suspect info.  Investigation conducted by CSO Logan and FTO Ernst.

A reporting party reported a drunken customer causing a disturbance in the 37200 block of Fremont Blvd.  Officers respond and arrest a 44 year old woman for  being drunk in public.
#003 Under the Influence Arrest
Officer Gonzales responds to Cloverleaf Bowl for a subject acting erratic and refusing to leave. A 22 year old man is contacted and found to be under the influence of drugs. More drugs and paraphernalia are found on his person and he is placed under arrest. The man resists and threatens officers.  He is placed in a WRAP before being booked at SRJ.

#013 Hit and Run w/ Injuries 
FTO Tran and Officer Pena arrested a 38 year old female for felony hit and run.  The female rear ended a vehicle at Paseo Padre Pkwy/Siward Dr. injuring a driver at this scene.  She then fled the scene and crashed into a fence off Ridgewood Dr. after losing control.  
#025 Promiscuous Shooting
Officers were dispatched to the area of Sabercat/Pine on the report of a man shooting a gun.  A witness reported the man shot two rounds up toward the hills at an unknown target.  The man was described as a Hispanic male, 30’s, black long hair, wearing a Barcelona Jersey, black shorts, and flip flops.  The man fled the area in a silver Honda or Toyota with tinted windows and black wheels.  Case investigated by Officer Tucker.
#027 Robbery
Officers were dispatched to a residence on Hyde Park on the report of a robbery.  A neighbor witness reported 2 suspects armed with handguns approached a subject who was smoking marijuana and seated in a parked vehicle.  The two suspects stole three suitcases from the subject and fled on foot towards Rix Park.  Arriving officers contacted the victim who provided conflicting and confusing statements about the incident.  The male suspect #1 was described as a black male, 27 years old, with tight dreads, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, armed with a semi-automatic pistol.  Suspect #2 was described as a Puerto Rican man, 20s, ponytail, wearing a black shirt covering his face and armed with a gun.  Case investigated by Officer Tucker.
#028 Burglary and Under the Influence Arrest
Officers were dispatched to a report of an in-progress residential burglary on Santee Rd after the homeowner reported a woman broke in and was still inside.  Officers arrived and contacted a 50 year old woman.  Officer Crow arrested the woman for being under the influence and burglary.
#001 Vandalism
K9 Officer Taylor investigated a vandalism incident in the parking lot of La Pinata. An intoxicated subject vandalized an Uber driver’s vehicle after they refused to give him a ride.

#024 Misc. Public Service from a reported Assault with Deadly Weapon
Officer Wong was dispatched to a local hospital regarding a man who was being treated for lacerations on his legs.  He ultimately advised his friend shot him with a shotgun.  Officer Wong learned of the location where the shooting occurred and officers responded.  Officer Wong later learned the shooting was accidental.  While cleaning the shotgun, it went off and the debris from the garage floor injured the two men.  Contact was made at the residence and the shotgun was located in the garage with cleaning supplies.  Nothing suspicious was located and the incident was documented.
#002 Vehicle Theft Attempt
A business owner on Industrial Place saw two suspects attempting to steal a car belonging to a neighboring business. The RP interrupted the suspects, who fled on foot out of the area. They left behind shaved keys and other burglary tools. Investigated by Officer Carter.
#004  Auto Burglary
Officer Stiers investigated an auto burglary at Motel 6 south. Two suspects broke into a work truck and stole tools. They fled in an older grey Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.

#007 Grand Theft
Officers investigated a grand theft in the 3700 block of Spinnaker Ct.  The victim called to report unknown suspect(s) stole a large crane off of his work truck.  A neighboring business may have video surveillance of the theft.
#015 Commercial Burglary
Unknown suspect(s) broke into a trailer that was parked at a loading dock in the 47200 block of Bayside Pkwy.  The loss was electronic items.
#019 Identity Theft
Officer Hernandez investigated a report from BMW of a fraudulent loan request.  The suspect returned to pick up the vehicle and Officer Hernandez arrived to take the female suspect to jail.  The suspect was in possession of a fraudulent driver’s license and other fraud related material.
#034 Resisting Arrest/Drug Paraphernalia
Officer Trzewieczynski attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a bicyclist in the area of Stevenson and I880.  The bicyclist fled from Officer Trzewieczynski down towards Albrae.  Officer Trzewieczynski located the subject behind World Furniture Store where he decided to surrender.  The 38 year old man was arrested and booked for resisting arrest and possession of a methamphetamine pipe.
#190604002 Stolen Vehicle Arrest
An alert for a stolen vehicle is indicated at Mowry and I880.  Officer Calvin positioned himself at Stevenson and I880 and locates the vehicle traveling southbound on I880.  The vehicle exits off of Dixon Landing Road where a felony stop is conducted.  A 25 year old man and a 29 year old female are both arrested for possession of stolen property and vehicle theft.

#031 Mental Health Hold
An caller reported that her adult son was threatening to harm himself.   Dispatch had the occupants evacuate the residence as numerous units responded.  Sgt. McCormick made contact with the man and negotiated with him for approximately 1 hour.  Due to the presence of weapons, the Department’s armored vehicle was deployed as a resource to the scene.   The suspect eventually agreed to surrender to officers in his rear yard.  Mental Health Evaluation Units were on scene to assist throughout the duration with the call, including assisting family members.  Mids Officers were called in to work early to help staff the streets as multiple officers were needed to handle this incident.

While the above detail was occurring, Officer Oliveira was transporting a vandalism suspect to Santa Rita Jail.  Once near the Sunol grade, the subject was able to slip his handcuffs to his front and began moving around the rear of the patrol vehicle.  A unit was dispatched code 3 to his locations with heavy traffic slowing down their response.  Radio contacted CHP for a code 3 response as well.  Fortunately Officer Oliveira located a CHP Officer on a nearby traffic stop and requested their assistance.  The CHP Officer was able to assist with re-securing the prisoner.  Officer Higgins continued as the cover officer and accompanied Officer Oliveira the remainder of the way to Santa Rita Jail.  
 
#005 Robbery, Conspiracy, Felony Battery, Evading arrest & Resisting Arrest
At 12:30 a.m., Officer Degenstein and Officer Paiva were dispatched to an ascertain the problem call in the 500 block of Morrison Canyon.  Upon arrival, officers located a shirtless bloodied male victim who had been robbed of his cell phone, money and house keys.  Paramedics were summoned and he was transported to a hospital to be treated for significant (none-life threatening) injuries.
Believed the suspects may be headed to the victim’s residence in an attempt to burglarize it, additional officers headed in the direction.   Officer Carter was the first on scene and sees the suspect vehicle with its daylight running lights on.  Officer Carter then sees a female run from the curtilage of the residence and into the awaiting vehicle.  The vehicle drives towards Officer Carter causing him to take evasive maneuvers to avoid being hit.  The vehicle flees out of the area and subsequently onto Argonaut towards Mowry.  Officer Carter is joined by Officer Trzewieczynski as the suspect vehicle loses control and subsequently hits the curb at Mowry and Blacow.  The male driver and female passenger flee on foot into the Carrington Apartments.  A perimeter is set utilizing Mids and Swing Shift officers.  Officer DeStefano deployed his UAV (drone) and Officer Macciola used K9 Bolt to assist in the search.
As the perimeter is being set, the female is seen by a community member hiding on an upstairs landing.  Officer Hernandez and Sgt. Kwok ultimately contact and arrest the female as she is attempting to hide from officers.  A search team is established and the male suspect is located hiding under some brush by Sgt. Sanchez, Officer Macciola and K9 Bolt.  The suspects were identified as a 21 year old man and a 21 year old female.  The two suspects were arrested for robbery, conspiracy, felony battery, evading arrest, and resisting arrest.  Case investigated by Officer Degenstein.  Pursuit supervised by Sgt. Kwok, scene supervised by Sgt. Sanchez.  Excellent job by all officers and dispatchers involved!
#006 Public Intoxication Arrest
Officer Maniego, Officer Rodarte and Officer Allsup were dispatched to a call where a man was passed out inside of his vehicle.  The man, later identified as a 42 year, was arrested for being drunk in public.

#011 & #012 Auto burglary 46000 block of Fremont Bl – Unknown suspect(s) broke windows to gain entry into two parked vehicles.  The loss was personal property.
#019 Auto burglary 43500 block of Christy St – Unknown suspect(s) broke the window to gain entry into a parked vehicle.  The loss was clothing and jewelry.
#41, Warrant Arrest – Ofc Hernandez made a traffic stop on Irvington Ave at Grimmer Blvd.  Ofc Hernandez contacted a female, who was wanted on an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for drugs offenses out of Santa Clara County.  Ofc Hernandez arrested the female and transported her to Santa Rita Jail for booking.
 
#34 Battery on Peace Officers and Resisting Arrest – Officer L. Kennedy was seated in her patrol vehicle on the west end of Stevenson Blvd when she was approached by a male on foot.  The male appeared to be in need of some assistance but there was a language barrier.  After numerous attempts via the Language Line to determine his language, it was determined the male did not speak any of the languages he referenced.  Ofc De Stephano arrived to assist.  The male, suddenly squared off with Ofc De Stephano and attacked him.  After several minutes of fighting, officers were able to place the male into handcuffs.  The male feigned unconsciousness for the remainder of the incident.  The male was transported to Washington Hospital, medically cleared for incarceration and later booked into Santa Rita Jail.
