Flood Advisory until 10:15PM

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Jefferson County in south central Illinois...

* Until 1015 PM CDT.

* At 714 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen in the past hour in northern Jefferson County. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Additional rainfall in excess of 1 inch is possible over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: JEFFERSON, IL

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely. A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
