Deputies arrested Cristopher Krocker for assaulting/resisting an officer

INCIDENT: PC 69- Resisting Executive Officer with Violence
LOCATION: 13000 block of 5th Street, Yucaipa
SUSPECT: Cristopher Krocker, 35 years old, Yucaipa resident
VICTIM: Deputy Sheriff
SUMMARY: On May 31, 2019, deputies from the Yucaipa Sheriff's Station responded to a call of a subject running into traffic and throwing objects at vehicles.
Deputies arrived and attempted to detain the subject who was later identified as Cristopher Krocker. Krocker pulled away from deputies and punched a deputy two times in the face, then fled on foot. The deputies chased Krocker who continued to refuse orders to stop. A deputy deployed a Taser but it was not effective in bringing Krocker under control.
Krocker was ultimately taken into custody after a brief struggle and placed under arrest for PC 69 - Resisting an Executive Officer with Violence. Krocker was transported to Central Detention Center and booked into custody. Both Krocker and the assaulted deputy sustained minor injuries.
