Reckless driving motorcyclist, attempting to initiate pursuits, arrested.

Near MOSES LAKE, Wash. (01JUNE019) – A motorcyclist is in custody at Grant County Jail after attempting to initiate several pursuits with law enforcement this past several weeks.

Robert Gwinn, age 38, of Moses Lake, was arrested when Grant County Sheriff’s Office deputies identified and located him in the Cascade Valley area of Lee Dr. & Stanley NE.  Gwinn already had a prior warrant for eluding police and was suspected of the same from earlier yesterday.

For one of the charges of attempting to elude, deputies discontinued the pursuit for the safety of the community, as the suspect entered the city of Moses Lake driving extremely reckless.

After developing more information, deputies sought and found Gwinn in Cascade Valley where he again tried to elude law enforcement before he lost control of his motorcycle and attempted to flee on foot. He was apprehended a short time later without further incident.

Sheriff Tom Jones said, “A great deal of thanks is owed to community members who called in numerous tips. Innocent people were in danger just being in this suspect’s path, including our own law enforcement officers. I am very pleased with this arrest. Great job, all, for identifying the suspect leading to the successful arrest with no one getting hurt.”
