IMPD 18th Recruit Class Graduation Ceremony

INDIANAPOLIS - On behalf of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Assistant Chief of Police Randal Taylor, you are cordially invited to the 18th IMPD Recruit Class Commencement Ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday, May 31st, 2019, at the Indiana War Memorial. The Honorable Deputy Mayor Dr. David Hampton and Assistant Chief Randal Taylor will deliver public remarks at the graduation.

The 54 graduating members of the 18th IMPD recruit class were sworn-in on December 17th, 2018. These officers have been assigned to the Training Division for the past 24 weeks.  The recruit training curriculum consists of 960 hours of classroom and scenario-based training in a classroom setting. The 18th Recruit Class will now begin 20 weeks of on-the-job training in the Field Training Program. 

Upon completion of the Field Training Program, the officers will be re-assigned to the Operations Division.
