Narrative:
On May 29, 2019, at around 2:30 p.m., a Westlake High School female student reported while walking to a local business on Thousand Oaks Blvd., a male adult driver pulled to the curb and asked her for driving directions. She walked in the direction of his vehicle and provided instructions. The driver requested she come closer to his vehicle to clarify directions on his cell
phone. The student made the decision not to assist him any further and walked away and reported the incident. The Thousand Oaks Police Department is investigating the incident as a child annoying crime.
The driver was described as a Hispanic male, bald head, possibly in his 40’s and was the only occupant in the vehicle. The vehicle is described as an older model dark yellow four-door sedan. The student is safe and was not physically contacted by the driver. She notified school administrators of the incident, which was immediately reported to the Thousand Oaks Police
Department. The investigation is continuing.
