Flash Flood Warning

Flash Flood Warning until 10:30 PM. Dangerous flooding is possible. Do not drive through flooded roads.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern New Castle County in northern Delaware...
Central Ocean County in southern New Jersey...
Northwestern Camden County in southern New Jersey...
Northwestern Gloucester County in southern New Jersey...
Northern Burlington County in southern New Jersey...
South central Berks County in eastern Pennsylvania...
Southeastern Montgomery County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
Chester County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
Philadelphia County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
Delaware County in southeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 1030 PM EDT.

* At 634 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly in the areas of heaviest rain.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Philadelphia, Toms River, Camden, West Chester, Gloucester City,
Cherry Hill, Evesham, Mount Laurel, Norristown, Chester,
Willingboro, Medford, West Deptford, Phoenixville, West Norriton,
East Norriton, Coatesville, Lumberton, Bellmawr and Yeadon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
