Wilmington Police arrest man on drug charges after foot pursuit 
Wilmington Police have arrested a 27-year-old man on drug charges and for resisting arrest.
On May 25 at approximately 10:47 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of 23rd and North Pine Streets in reference to drug activity. Upon their arrival, officers located 27-year-old Dawune Boardley, who matched the description of the suspect provided to police.
As officers approached Boardley, he fled on foot. He was taken into custody without incident after a brief foot pursuit, during which he discarded two plastic bags containing a combined 4.1 grams of crack cocaine.
Boardley has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $20,750 secured bail.
