Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 08:45PM

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Cumberland County in southern New Jersey... Southern Salem County in southern New Jersey... Cape May County in southern New Jersey...

* Until 845 PM EDT.

* At 751 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Quinton, or 8 miles northwest of Bridgeton, moving southeast at 35 mph. Another severe thunderstorm was moving across eastern Cumberland county and will move into Cape May county. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

* Locations impacted include... Vineland, Millville, Bridgeton, Ocean City, Cumberland, Salem, North Wildwood, Laurel Lake, Alloway, Wildwood Crest, Quinton, Woodbine, Sea Isle City, Estell Manor, Elmer, Avalon, Greenwich, Shiloh, Corbin City and Cape May Court House.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CUMBERLAND, NJ ... SALEM, NJ ... CAPE MAY, NJ

Instructions:

A tornado watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for southern New Jersey. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
