San leandro police officers are assisting in searching for a robbery suspect that fled from the California Highway Patrol during a freeway pursuit. An active yard to yard search is underway in the area of Morgan Avenue and Joaquin Avenue. More information will be sent out once this incident concludes. Please stay out of the area, shelter in place if you live nearby. The suspect is described as a black male adult, thin build, mid 30s, wearing a gray shirt and dark colored jeans. Call 911 if you see or hear anything suspicious.
