Deputies & Bureau of Land Management Rangers arrest a Parker Dam resident for felony vandalism on federal land

SUSPECT: Skyler Gene Butts, 34 years old, resident of Parker, Az.
VICTIM: Bureau Of land Management (BLM)
SUMMARY:
On May 23, 2019 at approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station along with the assistance from Bureau Of Land Management Rangers, arrested Skyler Gene Butts for more than 30 taggings on federal land.
The investigation started over a year ago when officers received reports of taggings in various areas on BLM property near Parker Dam. The taggings displayed and supported the "Flat Earth Research" and "Rise above movement". On May 22, 2019, Butts was seen on surveillance cameras driving his company vehicle and spray painting the side of a BLM restroom facility near Parker Dam Rd. Butts was positively identified as the suspect during the investigation. Estimated damages for defacing the property is estimated at over $5,000.00.
Butts was arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station jail on felony vandalism charges. His bail amount was set at $25,000.00.
