Wilmington Police arrest two in store robbery
Wilmington Police have arrested and charged two in connection with the robbery of a business.
On May 5, police were dispatched to the Dollar Tree in the 2000 block of West 9th Street in reference to a robbery that had occurred. Officers learned that a male and female had entered the store with an oversized bag and had attempted to leave the store without paying for various items they had concealed in the bag. As an employee confronted the two at the door, one of the suspects pushed them out of the way and both fled on foot. Police were able to identify and secure arrest warrants for both suspects.
On May 15, police located and arrested 26-year-old New Castle resident Jenna Devita. She has been charged with robbery (second degree) and conspiracy (second degree). She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and released on $8,000 unsecured bail.
On May 17, police located and arrested 34-year-old Francis Pucci and charged him with robbery (second degree) and conspiracy (second degree). He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and given $1,500 secured bail. He was also found to be wanted in another state, and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
