Wilmington Police arrest man after burglary investigation
A Wilmington Police investigation has led to an arrest in relation to a burglary of a restaurant.
On May 3 at approximately 12 p.m., police were dispatched to a restaurant in the 500 block of North Union Street in reference to a burglary that had taken place overnight. Officers learned that the suspect entered the business and removed cash and a tablet.
The case was assigned to Detective Michael Hayman of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, he was able to identify and secure an arrest warrant for the suspect.
On May 14, police arrested and charged 29-year-old Robert Francisco with burglary (third degree) and theft under $1,500. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and released on $3,500 unsecured bail.
