The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Tornado Warning for... Southeastern Calhoun County in southwestern Illinois... Central St. Charles County in east central Missouri... St. Louis County in east central Missouri...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 619 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located over Weldon Spring, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Damaging tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* The tornado will be near... St. Peters, Town and Country and Harvester around 625 PM CDT. St. Charles, Maryland Heights, Lambert-St. Louis International Airport and Champ around 635 PM CDT. Hazelwood, St. Ann, Bridgeton, Berkeley, Lambert Field, Calverton Park, Edmundson and Orchard Farms around 640 PM CDT. Florissant and Ferguson around 645 PM CDT. Black Jack, Spanish Lake, West Alton and Portage Des Sioux around 650 PM CDT. Alton around 700 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Golden Eagle, Deer Plain, Kampville and Brussels. This also includes Babler Memorial State Park, Confluence State Park, and First Missouri State Capitol Historic Site. This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between exits 214 and 231.
