Madison Street is Now Open
Update: Madison Street is now open. The County HazMat Team has cleared the scene. A contractor is enroute to clean up the barrels. The substance was believed to be formaldehyde, and there is no danger to the public.

Madison Street is closed between Texas Street and Missouri Street for a Hazardous Materials Incident. The Solano County Hazardous Materials Response Team is working an incident on Madison Street. It appears three barrels of an unidentified liquid were dumped to the rear of a business. The team is working to identify the liquid so it can be properly disposed of.
There are no evacuations at this time nor is there any danger to the public. This is not believed to be any type of criminal incident, other than illegal dumping.
