(Glencoe, CA) On May 14, 2019, members of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence in the 16000 block of Hwy 26, Glencoe. Investigators located two greenhouses set up for growing marijuana; each approximately 30’ X100’ cultivation. Deputies seized 424 marijuana plants and 61 pounds of processed marijuana. Suspect Luc Cam (49 years of age Glencoe) was arrested on scene and booked into the Calaveras County Jail. He was charged with 11358(c) H&S-Illegal Marijuana Cultivation, 11366 H&S-Maintaining a Drug House and 182(a)(1)PC-Criminal Conspiracy. Bail was set at $30,000.00. He was also booked on a felony warrant out of Stockton, CA . The charges listed on the warrant were 11358(c) H&S-Illegal Marijuana Cultivation, 11359 H&S Possession of Marijuana for sale and 498(D) PC theft of utilities. Bail for the warrant is $50,000.00.
Calaveras County Code Enforcement was requested to respond due to multiple county code violations including dangerous and illegal wiring in the dry grass.
This is the second search warrant served at this property in the past year. In October of 2018 an Illegal marijuana cultivation operation was located on this property where hundreds of marijuana plants and pounds of processed marijuana were seized. Two suspects were arrested and two firearms were seized. The two suspects located on the property in 2018 were found guilty of illegal marijuana cultivation.
(San Andreas, CA) On May 15, 2019, members of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence in the 4000 block of Costa Rd, San Andreas. Investigators located two greenhouses each approximately 30’ X100’ and a large metal shop set up for growing marijuana. Deputies seized 2,412 marijuana plants and 184 pounds of processed marijuana. No suspects were found at the location.
Calaveras County Code Enforcement was requested to respond due to multiple county code violations including dangerous unpermitted electrical work and illegal wiring in the dry grass causing a fire hazard. The shop and related wiring was determined to be unsafe due to the hazardous electrical work.
The two clandestine growing operations were indicative of illicit commercial operations and not in compliance with any medical or recreational cultivation.
