Flash Flood Watch until 07:00PM Tuesday
The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of southeast Kansas, including the following areas, Bourbon, Cherokee, and Crawford.
* From Monday evening through Tuesday evening
* Heavy rain will be possible Monday night through Tuesday night across southeast Kansas. Total rainfall amounts of one to locally three inches will be possible during this period. This rainfall will fall on already saturated soils, increasing the potential for flash flooding.
* Low lying areas and areas near rivers, creeks and streams will likely become flooded at times.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BOURBON ... CRAWFORD ... CHEROKEE

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
