SUMMARY: On May 15, 2019, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to an assault with a weapon call in the 14800 block of Totem Pole Street. The caller stated that a man at the residence had been shot and the suspect had fled the location.

Upon arrival, deputies learned the victim, 58-year old Alfred Montez, was at the location visiting family.
