Wilmington Police have arrested and charged a 29-year-old man wanted in several jurisdictions after he was found driving a stolen vehicle.

On May 7, police received a report of a vehicle that was stolen in the 600 block of North Rodney Street. On May 9 at approximately 8:19 p.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit observed the vehicle in the area of 2nd and Harrison Streets. As officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver – identified as 29-year-old Angel Mendez – struck a pedestrian sign and a parked vehicle at the intersection before fleeing on foot.
