After discovering evidence of sexual abuse, deputies arrested Kyle Hammons for Rape/Lewd Acts with A Minor

SUSPECT: Kyle Rick Hammons, 21 years old, resident of Landers
VICTIM: Confidential female
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, May 11, 2019 at about 9:14 PM, deputies from the Morongo Basin Station responded to the residence in Landers reference an unknown disturbance. Through the investigation, deputies uncovered evidence of ongoing sexual abuse of a minor child at the location.
The victim told deputies Hammons had sexually assaulted her on many occasions over the last several years, starting at the age of 11 and continuing to present day.

Hammons was arrested for Lewd Acts with a Minor and Rape and transported to the Morongo Basin Jail where he was booked on his charges. Hammons is currently being held in lieu of $250,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Morongo Superior Court on May 21, 2019.
