LASD MET Team, partners with Lancaster Station during Coffee with a Deputy for Mental Health Awareness Month!
At least week's Coffee with a Deputy, Lancaster Sheriff's Station brought attention to May being Mental Health Awareness Month.
Hosted at Crazy Otto's in Lancaster on Thursday, May 9, 2019, Deputy Gonzalez of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Mental Evaluation Team, MET, was on hand to share information with Lancaster residents. The MET team is made up of 27, 2 man teams, one deputy paired up with a Department of Mental Health clinician. They are available throughout the entire county of Los Angeles, to all patrol stations and assist our patrol deputies evaluate, deescalate and resolve calls for service.
