Water main work in Garden City, including, but not limited to, Maplewood from Hubbard to Merriman, Sharon from Maplewood to Elizabeth and Gilman from Maplewood to Cambridge, could result in brown water to areas of the City. Please check your water before doing laundry if you live in one of the affected areas or avoid doing laundry at all if you see any discoloration of your water. Running your faucets if you see brown water will eliminate the problem. The water is not harmful.
