Starting 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, crews will begin working on the replacement of the existing 42” sewer main and rehabilitation of one manhole crossing southbound lanes on Lafayette Street between Highway 237 and Calle De Luna.
To perform this work, there will be a full closure of Lafayette Street southbound lanes from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. beginning Tuesday, May 14 and ending Friday morning, May 17.
• Traffic on southbound Lafayette Street will be detoured.
• There are no businesses that will be affected by the lane closures as there’s access through either Great America Way or Tasman Drive.
• During the day, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., one southbound lane will be reopened with a temporary speed limit of 35 MPH.
• One northbound lane on Lafayette Street will remain open at all times.
