Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports that on May 24, 2019 Woodlands Mental Health Employment Services Supervisor Scott Williams, presented a check to Deputy Graves for the Cass County Sheriff’s K9 Bloodhound Nellie Fund.
The Woodlands employee funded Friday Casual for a Cause fund is voted on annually by the staff, and this year a donation was made to Nellie.
Deputy Graves works with Woodlands staff throughout the year in preparing them for response to threats, act of violence, and active shooter training.
Bloodhound Nellie is a welcome distraction with her gentle and affectionate comfort during a stressful subject.
Sheriff Behnke and Deputy Graves are grateful for this donation to assist with the non budget related items needed to keep Nellie safe and equipped.
