Green Bay Police investigate stolen auto that crashed into a house

Today at approximately 4:43pm, Green Bay Police responded to the area of the 1400 block of Admiral Court for the report of a stolen automobile. When officers arrived on scene, the complainant reported they had ran inside their apartment for something and left their vehicle running outside their apartment unlocked/unattended. When they returned outside, their vehicle was gone. The complainant also reported to officers that their Iphone was in the stolen vehicle. The complainant and Police used the "Find my Iphone" app and was able to locate the stolen vehicle driving in the area. Police attempted to stop the stolen vehicle and the driver sped off and fled from police. Police did not pursue this vehicle due to the safety of the community. The operator ended up crashing the stolen vehicle into a house in the 1300 block of S. Fisk St. No one was injured as a result of this incident. The operator was identified as a 17 year old Green Bay resident and he was taken into custody without incident at the scene of the accident. Charges from this incident will be forwarded to the Brown Co. District Attorney's office.

The Green Bay police would like to remind citizens to not leave their keys inside their unattended vehicles.
