James Tyler Schutte of Twentynine Palms is arrested for Rape and Possession of Narcotics for Sales

VICTIM: Confidential Female Juvenile
SUMMARY: In September 2018, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Morongo Basin Station received information regarding James Schutte being responsible for several counts of rape of a minor. During a lengthy investigation, detectives discovered Schutte had been in a relationship with a 14-year-old female for approximately one and a half years. During the relationship Schutte physically assaulted and raped the victim repeatedly.
On Wednesday, May 9, 2019, Schutte was located at a residence near the 6300 block of Isleta Drive, Twentynine Palms. Inside the residence a large quantity of cocaine packaged for sales was located. Schutte was arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail for rape of a minor and possession of narcotics for sales.
