The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Tornado Warning for... South central Gaston County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 245 PM EDT.

* At 216 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles west of Gastonia, or over Crowders Mountain State Park, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near... South Gastonia around 230 PM EDT. Gastonia around 240 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this dangerous thunderstorm include Crowders.

* AFFECTED AREAS: GASTON, NC
