Flood Advisory until 02:00AM Friday

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a

* Flood Advisory for... Eastern Grant County in central Indiana... Northwestern Blackford County in east central Indiana... Southeastern Huntington County in northeastern Indiana... Wells County in northeastern Indiana... Northern Adams County in northeastern Indiana...

* Until 200 AM EDT.

* At 953 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area, especially near storm drains that cannot handle the water and in low areas that do not drain well. Some flooding was reported with an earlier thunderstorm in Bluffton and these same areas could see minor flooding again with this rainfall. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen and another inch could fall through midnight EDT.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bluffton, Decatur, Hartford City, Gas City, Upland, Ossian, Fairmount, Montpelier, Jonesboro, Van Buren, Monroe, Matthews, Warren, Preble, Uniondale, Fowlerton, Poneto, Vera Cruz, Mcnatts and Wellsburg.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HUNTINGTON, IN ... WELLS, IN ... GRANT, IN ... BLACKFORD, IN ... ADAMS, IN

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
