Predatory Towing
 
The Fairfield Police Department has opened an investigation into local towing companies, illegally towing from private property. If you think your vehicle has been illegally towed, you were charged excessive fees, or required to pay cash instead of using a credit card, please contact the Police Department, Traffic Unit Hotline at (707) 428-7646.
 
For your vehicle to be towed on private property, the property owner must authorize each tow, with some exceptions. The law requires towing companies to accept credit cards.

Remolque Ilegal
 
El Departamento de Policia de Fairfield ha abierto una investigación contra las compañías de remolque en propiedad privada. Si usted piensa que su vehículo has sido remolcado ilegalmente, fue cobrado cargos excesivos, o fue requerido pagar en efectivo en lugar de pagar con tarjeta de crédito, por favor llame al Departamento de Policia, unidad de trafico al (707) 428-7646. 
 
Para que su vehículo sea remolcado en propiedad privada, el propietario tiene que autorizar cada remolque, con usas excepciones. La ley requiere que las compañías de remolque tomen tarjetas de crédito.
