INCIDENT: Suspect Arrested for Child Endangerment and Other Charges Following Domestic Disturbance
LOCATION: 300 Block S. Montclair, Big Bear City
SUSPECT: Ronnie Hernandez, age 27 a resident of Bakersfield
SUMMARY:
Shortly before 12:30 a.m. on May 9th, deputies from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of S. Montclair in Big Bear City. The female victim reported that Ronnie Hernandez had thrown her into a wall causing injuries and had fled the location with two juveniles in a vehicle. The victim received medical attention at the scene by Paramedics from Big Bear Fire Department.
Deputies conducted an area check for the reported vehicle and located the car at Circle K in Big Bear City. Upon contacting Ronnie Hernandez, deputies determined he was intoxicated. The juveniles were found inside the vehicle and unharmed. Hernandez was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Big Bear Jail on felony charges of spousal abuse and child endangerment, as well as a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.
Ronnie Hernandez remains in custody at West Valley Detention Center with an arraignment hearing scheduled for May 13 in San Bernardino County Superior Court.
