The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office has received increased reports of Larcenies from Motor Vehicles and Motor Vehicle Thefts, especially in the eastern portion of Ypsilanti Township.  Most of these thefts occur to Unlocked vehicles between 12am - 6am.  Two unknown male subjects wearing dark clothing carrrying backpacks were seen in the area of Emerson Street and Lakeview Avenue within the last week attempting to gain entry into multiple vehicles.  Sheriff Jerry Clayton urges residents, students and visitors within Washtenaw County to Lock their vehicles to prevent theft and report any and all suspicious persons and activities.
