The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Fire Weather Watch below 1000 feet for dry and unstable conditions, which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening.
* Affected Area...In Oregon, Fire Weather Zone 602 North Oregon Coast Range below 1000 feet, Fire Weather Zone 603 East Slopes of the Central Oregon Coast Range below 1000 feet, Fire Weather Zone 605 North Oregon Cascade Foothills below 1000 feet, and Fire Weather Zone 606 Central Oregon Cascade Foothills below 1000 feet. Today
* Winds...Northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts of 25 to 30 mph.
* Relative Humidity...15 to 20 percent. Friday
* Haines...Mid-level Haines 6. High-level Haines 5.
* Relatively Humidity...15 to 20 percent.
* Impacts...Conditions may be favorable for rapid fire spread which may threaten life and property. Use extra caution with potential ignition sources, especially in grassy areas. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
