The City has been monitoring the current weather situation and is recommending residents take precautionary measures.
Please review your family's emergency plan, including your pets and/or livestock.
Those with horses who are needing facilities to relocate to may contact The City of Simonton 24/7 for information on availability at Fort Bend County Fairgrounds.
Owners will need to provide buckets, feed, hay and the availability to feed and water your animals. In addition Coggins papers are required for entry.

The Emergency Operations Team is taking proactive measures and will be setting pumps in place tonight in the event they are needed. As a result Fort Bend Road will be closed between Lariat and Surrey.
