FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On 01-02-10, at approximately 10:25 AM, an officer responded to 1284 S. Main Street, Orphan Annie’s Emporium, on a report of a theft. A store employee reported that an unknown suspect removed a glass pane from a display case containing numerous jewelry items and took them. Thirty (30) jewelry pieces were taken, as well as some sterling silver tableware. The total loss is estimated at over $16,000.00. The suspect was able to carry out the crime while the business was open, due to a large number of customers in the store. No suspect information is available at this time.
