16-year-old stabbed in Agua Caliente, detectives searching for leads.

A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured Saturday night after an altercation with an assailant left him with multiple stab wounds. The call came in at about 8:00 PM on Saturday night at the Rancho Vista Mobile Home Park in the 17300 block of Hwy 12 in Agua Caliente.

Upon arrival deputies found the teen seriously injured. He was with his parents and an ambulance crew who were able to get him to a local hospital for life-saving treatment. Deputies were able to interview the victim, who lives in the mobile home park, and he said he was riding his bike on the bike path in front of the park when a stranger asked him his gang status. When he remarked that he wasn’t a gang member, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed him multiple times in the stomach, chest and arm. The victim was able to ride his bike home and get help from his parents.

The victim, while having serious injuries, is expected to survive the attack. The suspect was initially described as a Caucasian or light-skinned Hispanic female with short hair, 18-19 years old, 5’5” tall and 130 pounds.

Detectives are following up leads from this incident. If anyone has information they are asked to call 707-565-2185.
