NARRATIVE:
Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators responded to the 4000 block of San Carlos Street, East Los Angeles to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male juvenile which occurred on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at approximately 7:12 P.M.
East LA deputies responded to the location regarding an assault with a deadly weapon/victim down call. Upon their arrival, they located the victim laying on the ground adjacent to a residence. The victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation and canvasing the neighborhood for potential witnesses.
No weapons were recovered at the scene and there is no suspect description.
The investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.
