Construction Updates:
Springfield Pike
The contractor continues the curb removal/installation, asphalt milling, and roadway base removal. The north bound curb lane is still closed to traffic. Parking will be maintained in the business areas as much as possible (businesses will be notified when parking will be limited). A new storm sewer is being installed north of Wyoming Avenue so daily modifications to the traffic flow may be required. Nixle notification updates will be given if this plan changes.
 
Please note:   

• Pendery Avenue will be closed at Springfield Pike on Monday and Wednesday (5/6, 5/8) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Wentworth Avenue will be closed at Springfield Pike on Tuesday (5/7) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Ritchie Avenue
Ford Development, the City’s contractor, will continue working from 151 Ritchie to the cul-de-sac. Next week they will be completing driveway aprons, doing lawn restoration, and placing the asphalt base on the roadway.  We do ask that after the hydro-seed is sprayed on the lawn that residents water the areas if we have a prolonged dry spell.  Residents will be notified when the construction will prevent the use of the driveway. Please refer to the notes that were handed out on who to contact if you have and issue getting in/out of your driveway while they are asphalting the street.  
 
RLA Contracting, Duke’s contractor installing the gas main and services, is scheduled to be on site replacing sidewalk and doing some restoration work on the section of 151 Ritchie to the Pike.
